I was recently involved with an Argyll Makers Day at An Tobar on the Isle of Mull.
This event gave the opportunity for artists thoughout Argyll to meet up and to hear how to set up a web presence along with learning of the success stories of various craft workers.
My job was to offer the opportunity for participants to have their work photographed professionally.
There were certain difficulties in doing this, mainly the time restriction as seven artists needed their work recorded giving me only 30 minutes with each item. Most people don't realise how long it takes to set up this kind of photography, especially if a variety of styles is needed.
One of the more intriguing items was this sculpture made by Clare McNiven entirely from debris from the shore line and old fishing nets. Clare lives at Ardfern in Argyll.
